I have! Every kid seems to be doing his own thing. You struggle to get their attention and you don't know what the hek is going on?
Start by asking yourself, was I really prepared!
You see kids have X-ray vision and super senses! If you aren't well prepared and know exactly what you want to say and where you are going with the lesson! It is a recipe for chaos!
The best way to avoid chaos:
1. Know what you want to say.
2. Know what the outcome of the lesson is.
3. Draw up a runsheet with time restraints. In other words leave only enough time for each activity.
4. Prepare your visual aids.
5. Plan on how and when to engage children in your lesson.
6. Plan fun engaging actions to transision from one activity to the next!
7. Practise makes perfect! Please practise any and all demonstrations, experiments and object lessons before hand!
8. Pray! Pray for you lesson and for the kids that are going to be in your classroom!
9. Pitch up early to put out your visual and teaching aids and have enough time to pray as well before the kids arrive.
10. Be enthusiastic and passionate about seeing the kids and your lesson!
Remember: Passion ignites passion & Enthusiasm is contagious!
Hope you have a fruitfull Sunday!
